Ms Johnette Moore was the winner of the Poetry Contest. Her submitted poem is titled "The Road To Destiny". This poem is located on the Feature Poem weekly tab to your left. The winning poem was chosen by creativity, language and content. This poem was very inspirational!

A few words about Ms. Johnette Moore:
God has used this gift to bring Johnette through some of the most difficult and trying times in her life. She is an avid writer looking to be published. She journals her thoughts and sentiments through essays, articles and poetry.. "Writing is my passion". Through writing Ms. Moore has learned to engage the presence of God and it is a daily prayer that those writings "produced by my hand will draw folks into God's presence and encourage them to seek intimacy with Him".. In addition to writing, her joy is made complete when she stands to minister poetry at weddings, funerals and other gatherings.
Outpourings... "written through me"
Congratulations to you, Ms Moore for a job well done!

A few words from Ms. Johnette Moore:
"This comes as a very pleasant surprise indeed... I pray that someone was blessed and encouraged by the words of my post.. I do see this vehicle as a means to encourage writers to broaden their perspective and "see" success at the tip of their pen.. Thank you so much for the honor.. I am humbled... to God be the glory"!

January 10, 2010 Ms. Cynthia Williams was the winner of the $20.00 Barnes and Nobles gift card. The winner was chosen by a number generator at www.random.org based on a reply post at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=205765032991&ref=mf

A few words about Ms. Williams:
Cynthia Williams , born the 2nd of 4 children to Mrs.Willie Williams and the late Mr.Curtis Williams. Graduated from The Rayen High School in 1979. Loves poetry and she writesfrom the heart. Cynthia has had a poem published through an Internet poetry contest and was given the chance to go to Washington to the big convention, but chose not to attend. The poem was entitled "Just Once". She has 1 son who resides in Va. Ms. Williams has experience in the medical field for over 17 years as a phelembotomist and dialysis tech and now is in her 2nd year working with students in the Youngstown City School in their After school  Allliance. She gives knowledge of learning because of her gift of expression through tutoring . "Writing is the gift of expression, through words. I tell my students say what you mean, and mean what you say whenever there is a disagreement, and before you know it, it's settled and over. Because they know what that expression means. I say we all write till our fingers cramp, Let your words ring. I know mine will".

Thanks again for the gift card I bought 2 books by my favorite author, James Patterson and a Cat calender (lol)
Thank You Ms. Williams
